Air and Compote

I have had a wonderful week, albeit one which has left my bank card twitching on the floor, begging for mercy. Lots of yummy restaurants with yummy friends, from burgers to falafel, and lots of ticket buying for an impending trip to oxford via bristol for the BFF's fashion show.February is shaping up to be a cracking month - a visit my most favourite-other-year-abroad-friend from Poitiers, a visit from the parents, a trip home, and excitement upon excitement, Florence and the Machine live and in the flesh. purrr.

Next week I intend to hole up in my garret with some Joyce and Molière (not necessarily my authors of choice, but ones i must read before dreaded 4th year) , and to exist on compote and air, and to not spend a single penny. Doubtless this well-meaning plan will be thwarted by Zara, a friperie or my latent inability to cook anything edible, but we shall see.

To prepare myself for a week of asceticism, let's finish with some things i really want but can't have, shall we?

Exhibit a)This is nearly my perfect bag. From Mimi Berry. I need a new one, and I reeally want this one, and it isn't too expensive (155 quid). I am going to continue to mull it over.I expect my resolve to crumble on Tuesday of next week, or whenever I get paid.

b) My bedroom to magically look like this one from the Toast catalogue, only instead of that plaid cushion there would be a floral one -

C) A Diptyque Candle. This is likely to happen, as there is a shop five minutes from my flat, and I feel that scented candles are immensely important to be well being. However, which one to choose? and 40 euros on a candle, really?

D) For someone who I love (there are a fair few of them, and I am not fussed as to which of them it is) to turn up as a surprise. Demanding, moi?

E) For Gossip Girl to come back. I need me some Chuck/Blair action.

XOXO
